I'm just saying to that guy who posted that everyone is just making up movies they have seen to sound cool... if that was the case wouldn't people be like yeah I just saw Pulp Fiction or Scarface not kids flicks??
I just saw Good Luck Chuck that is truly one of the most repulsively crude movies ever. What was Jessica Alba thinking attaching her name to that?? I'm a fan of Dane Cook & he was funny but whats the deal with his fat friend... every scene that guy was in was cringe worthy. Luckily I just flicked upon it on TV but imagine the poor people who thought it would be a good date movie...

GAMER
The people I saw it with HATED it but there was enough there to satisfy me and Micheal C Hall(Dexter) completely camping it up as the megalomaniacal villain was sublime, in retrospect.
Some serious flaws though, the directors(Crank, Crank 2) have one gear, fifth/sixth, anything that requires anything less is out of their range by default which grows frustrating (and redundant) as the film progresses. It's tough because there are a few really great set pieces(The final showdown and the 'kid's' room were nothing short of brilliant) but then the main focus of the film, the 'computer playing fields' were obnoxious(Society), bland(Slayers) and to be honest, completely uninspired, which is sort of representative of the film as a whole, great spot scattered throughout an otherwise half-baked action film. _________________

Giovanni Ribisi should be in more movies. _________________

Saw Adventureland tonight.
Enjoyed it.
Not what I was expecting at all but good nonetheless.
The Godfather is being re-released in cinemas on Monday. Definitely going to see that in the cinema. _________________

Three, one to screw in the lightbulb and two to argue about how the old one was so much better. |

Good movie, visuals are top notch as usual, as expected from Pixar
Story-wise, first half started of brilliantly, the husband and wife scene was really nicely done. The comedy was really good, its a pretty funny film
BUT, *spoiler* I think the old man got to 'paradise' far too quick and it would have been nice to see more of the balloon floating around....also lost interest as soon as the talking dogs got involved
But, good film, 7.7 out of 10 for me _________________

I thought this was the best of Judd Apatow's movies to date just very slightly over Super Bad... Looking forward to the sequel which focuses on Russell Brands character relapsing onto drugs... _________________ Gucci Mane, he'd be better off jumping in a swimming pool with a plugged in toaster

The Power of One...
I remember seeing this as a kid of maybe 10 years old... I have since read the book & it's sequel Tandia which are two of my favourite books of all time... Which I guess had a negative outcome upon watching the movie again as it will never compare to the book but still a great film
I also finally got around to seeing Bruno not anywhere near the level of Borat but it still had it's share of funny moments I dont know I do hate cringe worthy humour like that sometimes _________________ Gucci Mane, he'd be better off jumping in a swimming pool with a plugged in toaster
